In conversation with the medical writers
In this webinar, we'll be joined by some of the medical writers who were profiled in the latest issue of our annual careers guide, "From academic to medical writer: a guide to getting started in medical communications", authored by Annick Moon and published in March 2019. Specifically they'll talk about their own journeys into MedComms and their current roles, the day-to-day working life of medical writers, training opportunities and career prospects. Questions from the audience will be welcomed.

Free copies of all our careers guides are available to download at

Confirmed guests: Simran Grewal (Medical Writer at Helios Medical Communications), Sarah Jackson (Senior Medical Writer at Ashfield Healthcare Communications), Joe Pickering (Medical Writer at Mudskipper) and Tim van Hartevelt (Associate Medical Writer at Oxford PharmaGenesis).

It should be of interest to anyone who is looking for insights in to MedComms as a career and how to maximise their chances of gaining an entry level job.

The webinar is free of charge and all being well a recording will be posted afterwards at

Note we are allowing 60 minutes for the webinar but in practice we expect it to last about 40-45 minutes or so depending on how lively the discussion is!

MedComms Networking Webinars will be run every Wednesday at 12.00 midday UK time from 1 May. They will be free to all who wish to attend. Topics will range widely but the aim is always to be relevant to people working in and around MedComms, by which we mean medical communications, medical education and medical publishing, and anyone who wants to start. See for full details of upcoming events.
