Leading learning begins with recognizing the broad and deep impact learning can have: on a field, a profession, an industry, an individual. Lifelong learning is growing in importance as the shelf life of college degrees dwindles and retooling during “the other 50 years”—the typical span of time between when we complete higher education and the end of life—becomes imperative in a hypercompetitive world where artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other technological and social changes disrupt past ways of living and working.
In this session we'll explore seven principles to be embraced by those working in learning businesses that provide professional development, continuing education, and lifelong learning. These “leading learning” principles focus on helping those businesses ensure their own success and the success of the learners they serve. Session participants will leave with practical insights into how they can implement these principles to build authority and buy-in within their organizations and deliver lasting impact for the audiences they serve.
Celisa Steele and Jeff Cobb, co-founders of Tagoras, will lead this session, sponsored by Digitec Interactive, and Jack McGrath, president and creative director of Digitec Interactive, will add his thoughts on what it takes to lead learning.
