Dr. Schwarz will discuss his research that addresses the context-sensitive and embodied nature of judgment and decision making and its implications for public opinion, consumer behavior, and social science research.

He investigates the context-sensitivity of judgment and decision making and its implications for public opinion and consumer behavior, currently with a focus on the acceptance and correction of the misinformation. He has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the German National Academy of Sciences, and the Academia Europaea, and received scientific contribution awards from the American Psychological Association, German Psychological Association, American Association for Public Opinion Research, Society for Consumer Psychology, Society for Experimental Social Psychology, and Society for Personality and Social Psychology, among others.
