Dr Chong Chee Seng
Dr. Chong Chee Seng leads the Applied Entomology section in the Environmental Health Institute, public health research arm of the National Environment Agency. His research interest includes understanding the biology and ecology of mosquito vectors, development of surveillance methodologies, and evaluation of novel control tools that would be relevant to Singapore’s urban landscape. He has close to 20 years of entomological experience and has been focusing on mosquito control and management in the recent decade.
Dr. Lee Chow Yang
Dr. Chow-Yang Lee is a Professor and the Endowed Presidential Chair in Urban Entomology at the University of California, Riverside, USA. He has published more than 190 peer-reviewed papers and books, and trained 15 Ph.D. and 29 M.S students. His research interests center around understanding behavioral, ecological, and physiological adaptations of urban insect pests (cockroaches, bed bugs, termites and pest ants), how these adaptations enable them thrive in the urban environment, and their management strategies.
