In applications where wood may be exposed to moisture, insects or fungal organisms, preservative-treated wood can help ensure durability and safety. In this webinar, participants will learn about the manufacturing process for pressure-treated wood, available products and their differences, and how preserved wood is used in construction.

Dallin Brooks, MSc.
Executive Director @Western Wood Preservers Institute
Dallin does extensive work with preserved wood over the entire life cycle, from pressure treatment to end of service life. Helping builders, specifiers and code officials understand the need for preservatives in wood for sustainability and safety. Mr. Brooks graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BSc. in Wood Products Processing and a MSc. in Forests and Society focusing on wood preservation as a value-added commodity.
