The speaker is expert in movement disorders (dystonia, Parkinsonisms, choreas, tremors, myoclonias, tics/Tourette syndrome, deep brain stimulation). he is a member of the Spanish Paediatric Neurology Society, the European Paediatric Neurology Society, the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. He has received his Master (Neuropediatrics) and Docotorate degree from the University of Barcelona. His current research focuses on the genetic basis of neurological diseases, including infantile striatal necrosis and SLC19A3 mutations.
