** Covid Policies for Business Owners and Managers **
The pandemic has created new challenges for employers without many clear answers. Employers have a general duty to provide a safe working environment under the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act. Also, the official position of the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is that mandatory vaccination policies do not violate federal discrimination laws. However, Florida recently passed a law which restricts business owners from requiring proof of vaccination. In this seminar, we discuss the current state of affairs with vaccine policies and mask usage. Attendees will receive practical guidance for crafting business policies in the midst of the conflicting positions between Federal and Florida law.
