The justice-involved veteran (JIV) population has unique behavioral health needs that warrant tailored therapeutic responses from the treatment court field, especially in the area of Substance Use Disorders. When the proper therapeutic interventions match the specific needs of the participant, results can be phenomenal! This session provides an overview of Substance Use Disorders in JIVs and current proven, effective treatment modalities that address the tailored SUDs needs of the JIV population. The therapeutic models discussed are all evidence-based.
