Alicia Cervera Lamadrid comes from a family of real estate experts strongly rooted in Miami. Born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Alicia joined her mother’s firm in the early 1980s and quickly rose within the ranks, learning the business from the ground up. In her early years in the industry, Alicia took on a variety of different roles and made her mark on several luxury condos including The Imperial, Villa Regina and Bristol Towers. The Related Group invited Alicia and Cervera Real Estate to join forces in 2000, creating Related Cervera Realty Services (RCRS) and selling over 14,600 units, representing over $6.8 billion over a ten year period.

Kevin Ruiz is the Senior Manager of Business Development for the Miami Downtown Development Authority, an autonomous governmental agency of the City of Miami whose mission is to “grow, strengthen and promote the economic health and vitality of Downtown Miami”. This is accomplished through the efforts of a multidisciplinary team approach of (1) Business Development, (2) Planning, Transportation, & Design, (2) Marketing, (3) Quality of Life, and (4) Advocacy.
Michael Cheng

Dr. Michael Cheng is the Dean at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University, where he is transforming hospitality, starting with the learner experience. He was previously a tenured Associate Professor and Director of the Food and Beverage Program. Dr. Cheng has subject matter expertise in competency-based learning, hospitality management, Culinology®, food product development, restaurant development, sensory analysis, and food and beverage management. Prior to joining Florida International University, Dr. Cheng served as founding Director and Department Chair, Director of Global Studies and MBA Programs, and Professor of Culinology® at Southwest Minnesota State University.
