FCCP Racial Equity + Power Sharing Series - June 2019 Kick off
Join us on June 10 as we kick off our Summer Equity + Power Sharing Series with a conversation on philanthropy intentionally tackling the realities of racism and how we connect these threads to our present day grantmaking practices with Lori Villarosa of Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity (PRE).  As individuals pushing philanthropy to do better by integrating racial equity and building power through democratic ecosystems, Jennifer Epps-Addison with The Center for Popular Democracy, Dana Kawaoka-Chen with Justice Funders, Dimple Abichandani with General Service Foundation, and Farhad Ebrahimi with Chorus Foundation will scrutinize power sharing and grantmaking strategies that can change who and what we’re supporting — and how.

Further resources and registration for the July and August discussions can be found at https://funderscommittee.org/power-within-power-without-power-throughout.

This briefing is offered free of charge thanks to FCCP members’ financial support. It is open to funders and philanthropic advisors only.

A very special thank you to our cosponsors: Justice Funders, Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity, Economic Opportunity Funders, Environmental Grantmakers Association, Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, Health and Environmental Funders Network, International Endowments Network, Maryland Philanthropy Network, Neighborhood Funders Group, NEO Philanthropy, Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia, Philanthropy New York, Philanthropy Northwest, and United Philanthropy Forum.
