Elena Rodriguez-Falcon
CEO and President @New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering NMITE
Elena joined The University of Sheffield in 2001 where she was the founder of the University of Sheffield Enterprise (USE); Institutional Director of Learning Inclusive Learning and Teaching; Director of Enterprise Education and Director of Women in Engineering, going on to become Director of Communications and External Relations of Engineering, whilst holding a Chair in Enterprise and Engineering Education. In 2012 Elena was awarded the status of Principal Fellow at the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA) - one of the first ten in the UK. Elena is also Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and of the Chartered Management Institute. In 2018 Elena moved away from Sheffield becoming President & CEO of NMITE. Now heading up the most ambitious and radical disruptor in engineering higher education in the UK.
Fayon Dixon
Fayon is an inspirational speaker, presenter and broadcaster with the versatility to host to an audience of 6,000 at The Royal Albert Hall to 150,000 online viewers as the energetic host of Tomorrow’s Engineers Week- Big Assembly. Fayon is the energy behind Engineering UK’s speed networking event Meet The Future You; at The Big Bang Fair each March helping students learn how networking skills can boost their confidence and make the difference to a great career in STEM. She is a regular commentator with Vanessa Feltz on BBC Radio London and for a variety of broadcasters on Talk Radio reviewing the newspapers. For 5 years Fayon has been the host and producer of her own children’s radio show ‘The Kids Are Alright’ on Riverside Radio and won best Presenter and Best Community content awards in 2018 and 2019.
