The 2020 Census determines the distribution of over $800 billion in funding for public programs such as funding for schools, hospitals, roads, and more. Many of the resources people are relying on now in the wake of coronavirus due to illness, job loss, or ongoing needs are directed by census data. These programs include health care services, workforce assistance, food assistance, and more.
In New York, approximately $74 billion is at stake annually. If our communities don’t get counted in 2020, we will lose out on critical resources and political power for the next ten years. That’s why we need you!
We need you to motivate those that matter most to you, your friends, your neighbors, and your family members to complete the 2020 Census and be counted. Because the census counts and so do you!
