IUFoST Scientific Roundtable Discussion #7 SUSTAINABLE FOOD PACKAGING

However, defining what sustainable packaging actually is presents a challenge and there is no single universally-accepted definition.” (ref. The SUSTAINABLE FOOD PACKAGING Panelists, Nathalie Gontard, France; Alejandro Ariosti, Argentina; Claire Sand, USA, Srinivasa Gopal India, and other experts will meet for the IUFoST Scientific Roundtable Discussion (SRD 7) on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25 at 08.00 Eastern Time GMT-5).

The discussion with these international experts will include ‘Over and Under Packaging’, Bio-based Plastics, Environmental impacts of Packaging, value-added food processing by utilization of emerging food packaging techniques, latest innovations in bulk and retail packaging from the food safety angle , packaging recycling, the impact of regulations in new packaging materials and the balancing act between cost of food and cost of packaging and implications for small and medium-sized enterprises.
