Target audience : Second-level teachers of any subject, particularly Leaving Cert. subjects which often require essay style homework.
Webinar objectives:
· To break down the essential elements of an effective assignment
· How to create these assignments for both in-person and online settings and suggestions for tailoring them to the varied needs of your class
· To show how an effectively laid-out assignment can allow for giving very meaningful formative feedback
· Tips for giving this formative feedback in different settings
Please note that no recordings will be shared with participants. Slides will be shared if the presenter is agreeable to this. She has worked as an examiner for the State Examinations Commission for a number of years, most recently at Leaving Cert. Higher Level. Her educational interests revolve around use of technology in the classroom (to aid both teacher and students!) and effectively creating and utilising resources to enhance teaching and learning.
