Caroline Carrasco
Future Foreign Service Officer @USAID
Caroline Carrasco was raised in Mooresville, North Carolina. She is proud of her Peruvian heritage and of being from the South! She believes that everyone, regardless of the place or condition they were born in, deserves access to healthcare, a healthy environment, and opportunities to thrive, which is why she pursued a career in international development. Caroline was educated by North Carolina public schools from kindergarten through college. She went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. After graduating, she worked with a road safety NGO in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as a Princeton in Asia Fellow. Caroline then spent almost two years working in healthcare consulting in San Francisco, California. She is currently studying at Johns Hopkins University. This past summer she worked in Lusaka, Zambia and she will be working in Lima, Peru in the coming months.
