In a long career spanning nearly two decades, he has taught at several other universities including Universities of Hagen, Stirling, Exeter and Bath. Author of several books and articles in refereed journals, Michael has made significant contributions in the fields of Environmental and Resource Economics; International Environment Agreements and Public Economics. He has been a Co-Editor of the leading field journal Environmental and Resource Economics since 2012. Besides lead authorship of the IPCC 2014 Report (Working Group III), he has led research projects on a range of issues such as Climate Change, International Agreements, and Green Lifestyles and Sustainability.
