Tourism Skillshop: FAM Tour Best Practices

The Tourism Skillshop is one of many industry educational programs from State of Washington Tourism (SWT). This webinar series will engage with colleagues across the tourism sector and broaden their industry knowledge, skills and network. Each webinar will highlight a specific issue or skill for tourism professionals to ponder and discuss with industry experts. SWT will typically host live webinars of the Tourism Skillshop on the third Thursday of every month from 10 – 11 a.m. These webinars will be recorded and shared with registrants.

The first webinar in the Tourism Skillshop will focus on best practices for familiarization (FAM) tours with guest speakers Guy Glaser, co-founder of InquisiTours; Liz Johnson, director of international tourism at Visit Seattle; and Kris La Fata, director of sales at The Edgewater Hotel. They will cover a range of best practices attributed to FAM tours, involving cost, planning, key stakeholders and visitor experience. Matthew Ozuna, destination development manager for SWT, will moderate the guest panel and audience questions for this webinar.
