Topic: Birds of East Russia
Join a circumnavigation of the Okhotsk Sea in eastern Russia, starting at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and ending at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy. Visit numerous bird nesting sites in the Okhotsk Sea and see images of land birds. Learn about Georg Wilhelm Steller, whose name is attached to four birds and two mammals. Continue on the journey from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, and travel up the eastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula to Anadyr. Presenter Bio: Marian Herz is a retired product development and management professional who now spends most of her time traveling the world taking photographs. She has won international photographic competitions, including 3 best-in-the-world nature print awards in the Kodak International Salon. Marian won an award in the Ocean Conservancy 2016 contest, and two of her images are featured in the 2018 Ocean Conservancy calendar. Her images have also been published in National Wildlife magazine, National Gardening magazine, Florida Wildlife magazine and on the World Wildlife Fund web site. She has exhibited in numerous juried art shows and galleries.
