Nadia Prokopchuk Book Launch for 'Good Night, My Little Dancer'
Join author Nadia Prokopchuk and guest presenter Serhij Koroliuk to celebrate the launch of Good Night, My Little Dancer.

This lyrical poem, written in English and Ukrainian, will take young children on a dancing dream into the night sky. A woven sash (poyas) becomes magical in the moonlight, giving a little boy a unique dancing adventure among the stars. The booklet includes explanatory notes for several Ukrainian dance steps. Parents with a background in Ukrainian dance will enjoy dancing along with their children! Key words and symbols reflect Ukrainian Canadian cultural elements.

Nadia Prokopchuk is a teacher, consultant, curriculum writer, and language education instructor at the University of Saskatchewan. Ukrainian dancing made an impact on her life by creating vibrant connections to a culture and identity that extend beyond Canada’s borders.

Serhij Koroliuk became the Artistic Director of Saskatoon’s Pavlychenko Folklorique Ensemble in 1995. Born and raised in Ukraine, Serhij is well-known across Canada and Ukraine for his creative talents and innovative dance choreography.
