Author Talk with Richard Striner
Join Jamie Stout, Director of Membership as she interviews Richard Striner, author of the new release, "Summoned to Glory: The Audacious Life of Abraham Lincoln".

Richard Striner is a writer and scholar who has written over a dozen books along with public affairs commentary. He served as professor of history for over thirty years at Washington College before retiring. He now devotes himself full-time to writing and lecturing upon invitation.

A specialist on Abraham Lincoln, he is the author of Summoned to Glory: The Audacious Life of Abraham Lincoln, published in 2020. This book destroys the old stereotype of Lincoln as a cautious moderate and shows as never before the brilliant audacity — hidden audacity — with which he killed off slavery and saved the American nation . . . and everything it stood for.
Striner’s website, www.richardstriner.com, contains concise summaries and links for most of his books along with archived on-line articles. He may be contacted via rstriner2@washcoll.edu.
