Music of Change: Protest, Uplift, and Hope
In 2012, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center curated an exhibit titled Music of Change. The exhibit challenged and inspired our guest to recognize music's power and see, hear, and feel a continuum of music genres that echoed American experiences, elicited responses, and changed perspectives.

With the backdrop of Black Music Appreciation Month, an annual celebration of African American music in the United States initiated by President Jimmy Carter in 1979, we're hosting a meaningful experience as we illuminate and explore the power of music and its intrinsic qualities in addressing social matters.
