Post-Mining: Trends in Innovation, Collaboration and Value Creation

Post-mining and legacy issues present challenges around the globe that can be turned into opportunities for new ventures, collaborations, and innovations to create value from waste and contribute to sustainable and circular mining practices. This free online seminar will present project highlights and innovations from around the world bringing fresh ideas, tangible innovations, and new forms of collaboration to the field of post-mining. A special focus will be placed on showing concrete collaboration opportunities for companies and experts in the area of post-mining and getting in touch with our network.

The German Mining Network (GMN), supported by the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), consists ofthe eight Competence Centers for Mining and Raw Materials, located at several German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (AHK) of countries rich in raw materials, as well as other strategic international and national partners, such as the German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA), the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI) and RWTH Aachen University.

The network bundles the German Know-How in technological innovation and mining solutions for raw material markets in one single platform.
