Coating Applications Using FLOW-3D
In this technical webinar, CFD Engineer Allyce Jackman will discuss how to model thin-film and coating processes using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software FLOW-3D. After reviewing FLOW-3D's fundamental modeling capabilities with free surfaces, surface tension, phase change and moving objects, Allyce will dive into examples of applications that include slot coating, roll coating, curtain coating, as well as coating on porous media, and drying. A validation of the onset of ribbing defects in roll coating will also be presented.
