- Justice Goodwin Liu is an Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court. Nominated by Governor Jerry Brown, Justice Liu was unanimously confirmed by the Commission on Judicial Appointments and sworn into office on September 1, 2011. He was retained by the electorate in 2014.
- Amanda L. Tyler is the Shannon Cecil Turner Professor of Law at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she teaches and writes about the Supreme Court, the federal courts, constitutional law, and civil procedure. Tyler is the author of several books, including Justice, Justice Thou Shalt Pursue: A Life’s Work Fighting for a More Perfect Union, with the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg (University of California Press, forthcoming 2021).
- Laura W. Brill is a partner at the litigation boutique Kendall Brill & Kelly LLP in Los Angeles and served as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She is also the founder and director of The Civics Center, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to improving high school voter registration rates.
- Judge Linda Lye has been a Superior Court Judge in Contra Costa since 2018 but will be stepping down this month. In January, she will assume the position of Deputy Secretary for Law Enforcement and General Counsel of the California Environmental Protection Agency.
-Elizabeth Prelogar is a partner at Cooley, where she leads the firm’s Supreme Court and appellate litigation practice. Elizabeth also currently teaches a class at Harvard Law School on Supreme Court and Appellate Advocacy. Elizabeth has argued seven Supreme Court cases.
