He received his BS degree from Tuskegee University and his MS and PhD from the University of Florida. Dr. Neufville received numerous awards including an Honorary Doctor of Science from Tuskegee University, the Outstanding Alumnus Award from the University of Florida. He served as Board Chair for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, ACDIVOCA, and was on the Board of International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC). In 2002 he was elected to the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame where he served as Board Chair. He was recently appointed to the prestigious Council of Advisors for the World Food Prize Foundation. Felecia M. Nave, PhD (President @Alcorn State University) Dr. Nave serves as the chief executive officer of Alcorn, located in Lorman, Mississippi, with branch locations in Natchez and Vicksburg, Mississippi. Dr. Nave has dedicated her professional career to serving at HBCUs, which has given her a diverse perspective and broad understanding of HBCU culture and tradition. An Alcorn legacy, Dr. Nave is personally and professionally invested in Alcorn’s mission to develop well-rounded future leaders of high character who can be successful in the global marketplace. Her expertise in higher education, combined with her commitment to Alcorn, allows her to strengthen current programs while moving the university forward. Dr. Nave is committed to planning and resource alignment, shared governance, a student-centered approach, and a commitment to the professional development of the campus community. Dr. Nave works relentlessly to create a positive campus experience for all students, faculty, and staff. Dr. Paul A. Jones (President @Fort Valley State University) Paul Jones, Ph.D. higher education career spans more than three decades in four states. Dr. Jones served two years as interim president at Darton State College in Albany, Georgia. President Jones was also a Professor of Educational Administration at Georgia College. He is also a member of several boards to include: The Medical Center of Peach County Board of Directors, Navicent Health Board of Directors, FVSU Foundation, Middle Georgia Goodwill Industries Education Committee, Museum of Aviation Foundation Board of Governors, Chair, APLU’s 1890 President’s Council, and the Chair, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. President Jones was also named the 2021 Distinguished Alumni of the College of Humanities and Social Science at Utah State University. Dr. Jones earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree at Utah State University, and he also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University. Willie E. May, Ph.D (Vice President for Research and Economic Development @Morgan State University) Dr. Willie E. May serves as Vice President for Research & Economic Development at Morgan State University. He works to aggressively increase quality & quantity of research outputs, tech transfer, and better connect research across Maryland’s preeminent urban research university to community needs. Prior to Morgan, May served as Director of Major Research & Training Initiatives for the College of Computer, Mathematical & Natural Sciences, University of Maryland College Park where he developed new relationships and expanded existing partnerships. Dr. May previously served as Director of the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) and Under Secretary of Commerce for Standards & Technology, the agency that promotes U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards & technology. May is an accomplished Chemist with research in over 90 peer-reviewed publications and over 250 invited lectures around the world. Dr. Jedidah Isler (Assistant Director for STEM Opportunity & Engagement @White House Office of Science & Technology Policy) Dr. Jedidah Isler (she/her) serves as the Assistant Director for STEM Opportunity & Engagement at the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy. In this role, she brings her expertise as an astrophysicist, science communicator, founder, and vocal advocate for the rightful presence of women of color, non-binary people of color, and marginalized groups more broadly, in science & technology. She has served on the Astronomy & Astrophysics (Astro2020) Decadal Survey’s Inaugural State of the Profession and Society Impacts panel, was a member of the AIP TEAM-UP Task Force to advance African Americans in Physics and Astronomy, was a TED speaker and host, and a former faculty member. She brings these complimentary experiences to the work of advancing equity in Federal science & technology strategy and policy.
