Telehealth for the Pediatric Therapist
This course outlines how to implement telehealth services utilizing a Zoom platform. Provider's responsibilities will be outlined when transitioning from in-person service model to a Telehealth Service Model. Ethical and professional guidelines will be reviewed. Both formal and informal assessment models will be reviewed to support service delivery using the telehealth model. Intervention tools, coaching strategies and application through case studies will be provided using best practices supported by research.

Sandra Wilde-Sutton

Sandy started her occupational therapy career in 1987, working in neuro-rehabilitation with adults where she specialized in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. She consulted in pediatrics shortly after, working simultaneously in brain injury while consulting in pediatrics. Sandy was Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) certified in 1989 and gained her Therapeutic Listening Certification in 2010. Sandy’s desire to understand the neurophysiological basis of sensory processing disorders, vision, and executive functioning has led her on a path toward furthering her education in these areas. She has worked in rehabilitation, acute care, early intervention, home, school, and outpatient clinic-based treatment settings. Sandy is currently the Senior Educational Coordinator for Theraplay Family of Companies. She also serves as a mentor and treating therapist. Throughout her career, Sandy has lectured at state and national levels to various audiences including colleagues, teachers, and parents.
