Presenter Terry Rich had a pair of Western Screech-Owls in a nest box in his yard in 2018 and 2020. He will go over the way we set up our cameras, show photos and videos of the owls, and talk about some things that are still not well known for this fairly widespread species.
Terry Rich has a BS in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MS in Zoology from Idaho State University, and is pursuing a PhD in Public Policy from BSU. He worked for the Bureau of Land Management for 20 years and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 15 years. Terry currently writes a weekly column on birds for the Idaho Press and gives a monthly program on birds at the Foothills Learning Center. He is an Honorary Life-time Member of the American Ornithological Society. Terry and his wife, 3 kids, and 7 grandkids all live in the Boise area.
