ASTEM Webinar: 30 July 2021
Topic: Use of Genomic Screening for Donor Selection & Potency Assays that monitors Stem Cell Quality (in bio-medicine).

Agenda
1) Overview of Genomic Screening & specific reference to Cell Therapy - Dr Alexander Lezhava (Chairperson)
2) Assay Development for Donor Selection & Cell Isolation - Dr Padmapriya Sathiyanathan
3) Gene & Cell Therapy of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Regenerative Medicine - Dr Liu Tong Ming

The Allogeneic STEM Cell Manufacturing Programme (ASTEM) is a Singapore government-funded programme under RIE 2020. ASTEM seeks to develop stem cell manufacturing assets in partnership with industry with a particular focus on biomarker discovery and donor selection, stem cell separation, bioadditives and media formulation, quality/potency assays and scale-up bioprocessing. This is coupled with cutting-edge preclinical testing models that are predictive of future clinical performance. ASTEM is therefore positioned to deliver allogeneic stem cell manufacturing assets of high therapeutic value.
