Topic
Contacting, etching, and doping of 2D materials using thermal scanning probe lithography
Description
Takeaways:
- Imaging of 2D materials using NanoFrazor
- Electrodes patterning on 2D devices using lift-off with the NanoFrazor
- Overlay nanopatterning on 2D materials using NanoFrazor
- Shaping of 2D materials using NanoFrazor and etching
- Ohmic contacts characterizations
- Local heat-induced doping of 2D materials
In this webinar I will mainly explain and discuss the fabrication methods as well as the scientific results of the following two papers:
Zheng et al., “Patterning metal contacts on monolayer MoS2 with vanishing Schottky barriers using thermal nanolithography” (Nature Electronics 2019)
Zheng et al., “Spatial defects nanoengineering for bipolar conductivity in MoS2 Two-dimensional semiconductors” (Nature Communications 2020)
Speaker: Dr Xiaorui Zheng, Westlake University
Presentation: 30 min.
Q&A: 15 min.

Hi there, You are invited to a Zoom webinar. When: Dec 15, 2020 11:00 AM Zurich Topic: Contacting, etching, and doping of 2D materials using thermal scanning probe lithography Register in advance for this webinar: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_IeHGlG_XQ7CRC7_0SmQEaA After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. ---------- Webinar Speakers Xiaorui Zheng (Associate Professor @Westlake University) Dr. Xiaorui (Ray) Zheng joined Westlake University in 2020 as an Assistant Professor and started the Alien Lab (Advanced Lithography for Opto-Electronic Nanochips Lab). After his MSc in Condensed Matter Physics at the Chinese Academy of Science, he obtained a PhD at the Centre for Micro-Photonics at Swinburne University of Technology. He was postdoc research fellow at University of California, San Diego and at CUNY and NYU in the group of Prof. Elisa Riedo. In the latter group, he used the NanoFrazor to achieve several breakthrough results with the fabrication of 2D material devices. His research at Westlake University will continue in this direction where he has plenty of ideas on how to utilize the NanoFrazor technology for novel and improved 2D material devices.
