Edna N. Maguigad
Regional Policy and Governance Adviser @Non-Timber Forest Products Exchange Programme - Asia
Attorney Edna is the Regional Governance and Policy Adviser of NTFP-EP Asia. She designs strategies and lead initiatives of the Tenure Rights and Governance program and coordinate the climate change activities in the region and globally. She has 15 years of experience in developing practical ways to make laws understandable, useful and accessible for the marginalized sectors- women, farmers, labor, fishermen and indigenous peoples and local communities. Her policy expertise is on harmonization of environmental law, human rights, and climate change. She successfully facilitated FPIC in 4 forestry projects in the Philippines, 3 of them in REDD+ sites, and continuous to provides advise on indigenous peoples rights, benefit sharing, carbon rights and community enterprises with NGOs, IDOs, and government agencies.
Emmy Primadona
REDD Project Coordinator @The Indonesian Community Conservation WARSI
Emmy has been working on community tenure right issues and REDD-plus since 2012. She has an extensive knowledge of community-based forest management, developing community economic and livelihood and Social forestry on REDD-plus. She has been following issues on UNFCCC since 2016 in Paris, particularly the discussion on Paris rules book for the agenda item 3 about NDC, article 6 for market and non-market, and the LCIP platform.
Mai Thin Yu Mon
Program Director, Indigenous Peoples Development Program @Chin Human Rights Organization (CHRO), Myanmar
Mai Thin Yu Mon has been working and monitoring the Local Community and Indigenous Peoples platform development and processes since COP23 in Bonn, Germany. She is an Executive Council member of the Myanmar Indigenous Peoples/Ethnic Nationalities Network (MIPENN) and Youth Representative Executive Council Member of the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP).
