Plain-language summaries: what are they, and why should we consider including these in our publications?
In this webinar we'll be joined by Jan Seal-Roberts, Publishing Director at Adis, Springer Healthcare. Everyone has heard the term 'PLS' - but there still seems to be a lot of confusion about:

* what these are
* who they are intended for
* the ideal reading level
* and which journals accept these.

And that's before we start talking about the value proposition and why these might be worth the effort!

Last month Jan Seal-Roberts ran a 3-hour workshop on this at ISMPP US, which was attended by a lot of key pharma people from global who were keen to learn more about PLS and how to start taking advantage of the opportunities that these offer. Jan will be distilling this down to a 15-min session to bring everyone up to speed with PLS - and will explain exactly why we should be thinking about including these in our publications. You may be surprised!

Questions from the audience will be welcomed.

The webinar is free of charge and all being well a recording will be posted afterwards at NetworkPharma.tv.

Note we are allowing 60 minutes for the webinar but in practice we expect it to last about 40-45 minutes or so depending on how lively the discussion is!

MedComms Networking Webinars will be run every Wednesday at 12.00 midday UK time from 1 May. They will be free to all who wish to attend. Topics will range widely but the aim is always to be relevant to people working in and around MedComms, by which we mean medical communications, medical education and medical publishing, and anyone who wants to start. See http://www.MedCommsNetworking.com for full details of upcoming events.
