Rachel Green
Engineering Apprentice @Cadent Gas
Rachel didn’t come into her apprenticeship from an engineering background, either academically or professionally. Having worked her way up through office-based roles for several years after graduating university, she decided that she needed a completely fresh challenge. After successfully applying to a Cadent apprenticeship online, Rachel found the role of an Emergency Gas Engineer a perfect fit for her future. Applying in her 30s, an apprenticeship may not have been considered the usual path, but she has ultimately benefitted from taking a leap of faith.
David Purdue

In his spare time David is currently a soloist with the London Gay Men's Chorus and co-created the 'Hobbies for Health' blog, as well as being a keen gardener.
