How to plan your questions, comprehension strategies, and vocabulary supports when reading texts to your students
The webinar will explore teaching strategies for elementary teachers to engage their students in interactive read-alouds with a focus on text selection that encourages students to draw meaning from a text and move towards deep comprehension. We will discuss "Do's and Don'ts of Read-Aloud" as well as how to work through current challenges teachers are facing in reading instruction. Example read-alouds will be shared as well as nonfiction and fiction book suggestions and ideas for further research. Time will be given at the end for Q&A from live participants. A recording of the webinar and a personalized PD certificate will be sent to all registrants within 2-3 days after the live webinar.
