Her current research interest is the systematic development of service delivery models for creative arts and allied health teams in acute health settings. Her other research focus continues to be the pre-vocal expressive capability of hospitalized infants and the role of parental voice to support infant neurodevelopment and attachment. Helen has more than 30 years’ experience as a clinical music therapist. Moving from special education and early intervention into pediatrics, she pioneered NICU music therapy research and practice in Australia. Mark Ettenberger (PhD, MA, MT ) Mark is an Ethno-Music therapist trained in Austria and obtained his PhD in Music Therapy from Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He trained in RBL (Rhythm, Breath, Lullaby) at the Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine in New York and holds a M.A. in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the UNESCO Chair of Philosophy for Peace, University Jaume I, Spain. He currently lives and works in Bogotá, Colombia, where he is the director of SONO – Centro de Musicoterapia (www.sono.la) and a lecturer at the M.A. in Music Therapy at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He coordinates the music therapy services at the hospitals Fundación Santa Fe, Clínica de la Mujer, and Centro Policlínico del Olaya. Jayne Standley (Ph.D., MT-BC, NICU-MT ) Jayne M. Standley, Ph.D., MT-BC, NICU-MT is a Robert O. Lawton Distinguished Professor at Florida State University and the Ella Scoble Opperman Professor of Music with a courtesy Professor appointment to the College of Medicine. She is an internationally acclaimed researcher and has published extensively in music in learning and music in medical settings with refereed publications appearing in nursing, early childhood, music education, and music therapy journals. She is the author of 11 books and has presented research in hundreds of national/international locations. Dr. Standley was the Editor of the premiere journal in her field, the Journal of Music Therapy, for over 18 years. Most recently, she has specialized in research studies investigating music therapy for early intervention with premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
