Perry O'Brien (Author @FIRE IN THE BLOOD)
Perry O’Brien served in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne but was able to obtain an honorable discharge as a conscientious objector. His fiction has been featured in the war anthology Fire and Forget, and his nonfiction has been published by The New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle. He lives in New York City and works as a labor organizer.

Matt Gallagher (Author @Youngblood, Kaboom, Empire City)
Matt Gallagher is a Wake Forest graduate and US Army veteran. He’s the author of the novels Youngblood and Empire City, and the memoir Kaboom: Embracing the Suck in a Savage Little War. He holds an MFA in fiction from Columbia and has written for The New York Times, The Atlantic, Esquire, and The Paris Review. He lives with his wife and son in Brooklyn.
