Carrie Gallagher
Travel Expert @Journey Latin America
Carrie left a Public Relations career in 2006 to travel around the world, and became one of the many who do so to fall for Latin America’s allure. Keen to share her experiences with others, she decided that a job as a tour leader was the obvious next step, and she joined our team in 2011. So extensive was her knowledge of Latin America that over the next seven years she led most of our tour itineraries, all the time expanding her understanding of this vast and complex region. In 2019 she decided to re-establish her roots in the UK, and we were thrilled to be able to invite her to join the sales team.
Jessica de Gier
Tour Leader @Journey Latin America
After finishing her studies in the 90s, Dutch-born Jessica travelled to Peru to learn Spanish and undertake voluntary work in the Amazonian jungle. She immediately fell in love with the Latin American landscapes, wildlife and nature, and decided to stay just a little longer. Now, getting on for two decades later, Jessica has lived and worked in both South and Central America, and has led tours between Mexico and Panama.
Jamie Swan
Product and Operations, Group Tours @Journey Latin America
After gaining a Politics degree, Jamie worked as a researcher at the House of Commons. A career break then took him to South America, backpacking from Peru to Brazil, which ignited a real passion for the continent and, on his return to the UK, a move from politics into the travel industry.
