To promote a more sustainable, inclusive and green recovery, GEIDCO is to hold an international forum on tackling climate and environmental crisis on 22th September. The event aims to further consolidate global consensus and pool synergies to confront and solve the unfolding climate and environmental disruption, advance energy transition and clean development, and promote concrete implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the targets set out in the Paris Agreement.
The forum, themed on “Tackling the crisis in solidarity for a sustainable world”, will have senior representatives from the United Nations and relevant international organizations, high-level officials from relevant countries, experts and scholars from universities and research institutions, and heads of enterprises and financial institutions onboard for an in-depth discussion on how to tackle climate and environmental crisis, and confront the problems exposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The conference will cover such topics as clean energy development, low-carbon energy transition, cross-regional energy interconnection, technological innovation, and green recovery.
This event, to be broadcast live globally, is expected to have around 400 guests, with a combination of both on-site and online attendance. This event, to be broadcast live globally, is expected to have around 400 guests, with a combination of both on-site and online attendance.
