Project Corazon: Lawyers Defending Human Rights at the Border
The Trump administration enacted traumatizing and dangerous policies at our Southern border, and unfortunately, the Biden Administration has continued most of the same policies to the consternation of L4GG and other border advocates. Today, the shadows of MPP and a continued policy of expelling migrants under Title 42 make it harder than ever to welcome migrants with dignity. And yet, lawyers are continuing to play an important role in defending the rights of asylum seekers. Come hear from experts at L4GG, Northeastern Law Schol’s Immigrant Justice Clinic, and Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP about how lawyers can volunteer their time, defend the human rights of asylum seekers, and increase their ability to provide for their families once in the U.S.

Speakers: Charlene D’Cruz (L4GG), David Abrams (Kasowitz), and Hemanth Gundavaram (Northeastern Law)
