In this More Than a Single Story conversation, arts activist Tess Montgomery, will explore the intersections between financial independence and historical trauma on people of color and how it affects them in their daily lives as parents, as children of parents who have struggled financially, and as workers and artists today. Panelists include Suleiman Adan, Anthony Ceballos, May Lee-Yang, Sagirah Shahid and Jna Shelomith. More Than a Single Story is a series of panel discussions/public conversations where writers of color discuss issues of importance to them in their own voices and in their own words.
This program is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
This program will be recorded and made available on the library's website.
