UMTRC Webinar: Common Substance Use Disorder Coding and Reimbursement Practices
3 objectives:

1. Recognize the foundational elements of CMS reimbursement criteria
2. Identify common ICD-10 diagnoses related to SUDs
3. Successfully differentiate between HCPCS and CPT codes

The content of this webinar is aimed at rural healthcare providers and institutions with the intention of establishing foundational SUD coding and reimbursement practices. Elements of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding practices will be introduced and discussed throughout the presentation.
Micah Kassahun- Data Coordinator for the Crossroads Partnership for Telehealth and the Indiana Rural Opioid Consortium programs at IRHA. Micah is experienced with working with rural partners on data collection methodologies and condensing data into digestible and actionable next steps for rural stakeholders. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Purdue University and a Master of Public Health degree at Indiana University – Purdue University, Indianapolis. His work with the Indiana Rural Health Association has expanded his skills with data collection software, and the diversity of projects that he is associated with has added a level of versatility to his contributions. He is now dedicated to applying data analysis practices with increasing effectiveness and aims to increasingly incorporate statistical analysis software to further streamline the dissemination of data.
