Date: Monday, March 8 2021
Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST
In 2006, the Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children (CREVAWC) launched the Neighbours, Friends and Families (NFF), a public education campaign, to address the complex challenge of violence against women which has been a serious problem in Canada. NFF provides the public with awareness on the signs of domestic violence so that those close to an at-risk woman or the abusive person can help and provide effective referrals.
It is 2021 now, and we want to take you back to the basics of how to support your loved ones!
- understanding of woman abuse;
- understanding the basics of how to recognize warning signs and signs of high risk;
- how to talk to someone you think might be experiencing domestic violence and;
- how to make an appropriate referral.
