Upward Bound & Upward Bound Math & Science Professional Development Seminar
NOSOTROS Education Center (NEC) will conduct an ONLINE UB & UBMS Professional Development Seminar on May 14 & 15 (9 am to 4 pm on both Thursday & Friday - ALL TIMES CENTRAL ).

This ONLINE seminar will consist of eight (8) workshops addressing the following UB/UBMS topics:

1.) HEA/HEOA & TRIO History & Legislation
2.) UB & UBMS Regulations
3.) Plan to Deliver Services - Summer Component
Under COVID-19
4.) Plan to Deliver Services - Academic Component
“Normal” Times & Under COVID-19
5.) Annual Performance Report & Prior Experience Points
6.) Required Recordkeeping & Compliance Assessment Readiness
7.) Budget Management 101
8.) Formative & Summative Evaluation

Please note that this is a professional development seminar and an allowable cost - §645.30: What are allowable costs? The cost principles that apply to the Upward Bound Program are in 2 CFR part 200, subpart E. Allowable costs include the following if they are reasonably related to the objectives of the project: (a) In-service training of project staff.

Lisa has over 25 years of experience in the implementation, management, supervision, and evaluation of federal (TRIO) and state-funded educational and career opportunity programs.
