As one of the world’s leading institutes for advanced study, the National Humanities Center has provided essential support for the humanities for over forty years. Every year through its residential fellowship competition, the Center invites up to 40 scholars to North Carolina to focus on their research for one academic year or semester. The Center especially welcomes applicants from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and liberal arts colleges, as well as early-career women in philosophy.
Located in the progressive Triangle region of North Carolina, near Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh, the Center affords access to the vibrant cultural and intellectual communities supported by the area’s research institutes, universities, and dynamic arts scene. This webinar provides an overview of life at the National Humanities Center for our Fellows, as well as valuable information about eligibility, application requirements, and the review process.
