Webinar #4: Science-based targets for cities, evidence based climate action planning, the One Planet City Challenge, and the Paris Agreement.
We guide participants on how to achieve science-based targets and evidence-based climate action planning based on different tools designed for the One Planet City Challenge (OPCC).
To help concentrate ambition and catalyze action, the OPCC supports joining cities to show that they have science-based emissions reduction targets that align with a 1.5 °C future and are supported by evidence-based climate action planning.
In 2015, the Paris Agreement was signed, a historic accord which brought together nearly 200 nations in a joint commitment to reduce GHG emissions. The aim was to limit global temperature increase to well-below 2.0 ºC and endeavor to limit warming to 1.5 °C rise.
