Nebraska Count the Kicks Lunch and Learn
The Count the Kicks public health campaign and the Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Council have partnered to educate expecting parents on how to monitor fetal movements during the third trimester of pregnancy. It is a SIMPLE and FREE way to self-monitor and improve the chance of delivering a healthy baby. By doing so, this can reduce stillbirth rates, which occur in one out of every 167 pregnancies nationwide. The evidence-based campaign provides best practices in kick counting tools and resources. The NPQCI offers FREE Count the Kicks materials to Nebraska health care providers to help educate patients and save babies. You can receive materials like educational brochures and posters to educate your patients and make it easy for you to facilitate your own Count the Kicks educational campaign by visiting countthekicks.org. Participants of this webinar will leave knowing:
a. How to have the kick counting conversation with expectant parents.
b. How to download and use the Count the Kicks app.
c. The free tools and resources available to them.
d. How to best utilize the free tools and resources available to them.
