Despite significant steps forward, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) Americans lack basic legal protections in most states across the country. We need to act — nearly two-thirds of LGBTQ Americans report having experienced discrimination in their personal lives. The Equality Act (H.R. 5/S. 788) would provide provide consistent non-discrimination protections in federal law based on sexual orientation or gender identity. or the first time since its original introduction in 1974, the Equality Act has a fighting chance of passing the U.S. House of Representatives.
In this critical moment, we need strong, powerful and public support for the Equality Act from people of faith like you. Join us for a webinar for faith leaders and activists. We will review the Equality Act, why people of faith support it and the specific actions you can take to support its passage.
This webinar is brought to you by members of the Faith Coalition for the Equality Act. #FaithForEquality
