Planning a Personal Digital Archiving Event @ Your Library
Our memories and personal family treasures are worth saving, but with the intertwining of our physical and digital lives it can be hard to figure out how. ALA’s Preservation Week will take place April 26-May 2, 2020, so it’s the perfect time to begin planning events that will help your patrons answer their questions about preserving their digital family treasures.

Styled as a train-the-trainer event, this webinar will discuss ways your library can introduce the principles of personal digital archiving and preservation to your users. No specialized equipment or software is required to conduct this program at your own library.

Following this webinar, you'll be able to:

Identify four simple actions your users can take to arrange and preserve their digital family collections;
Recommend safe storage practices for digitized content;
Suggest recommended resources for additional information.
