John Buckley
President and CEO @Wilbur-Ellis
John Buckley is President and CEO of Wilbur-Ellis, a leading international marketer, distributor and manufacturer of agricultural products, animal nutrients, and specialty chemicals and ingredients. The company generates annual sales of more than $3 billion and is now marking nearly 100 years in business. Buckley has over 30 years’ experience in business management, engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing, having served in leadership roles at major companies in the U.S., Brazil and Mexico. Before joining Wilbur-Ellis, Buckley was CEO of Air Liquide USA LLC, a multibillion-dollar U.S. industrial gas business, and held leadership positions at Rohm and Haas Company, AgroFresh Inc., and The Dow Chemical Company. Buckley holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from Villanova University. He serves on the board of directors of Michelman, Inc., as well as on the boards of philanthropic organizations, including The Center for Pursuit in Houston and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.
Mike Wilbur
President and CEO @Cavallo Ventures, Inc.
Mike Wilbur serves on the Wilbur-Ellis Board of Directors and leads Cavallo Ventures, Wilbur-Ellis’ venture capital arm. In this role, Wilbur guides investments in entrepreneurial enterprises that support Wilbur-Ellis’ core businesses. Previously, Wilbur served as corporate vice president of business development for Cavallo Ventures, completing several key acquisitions, including Ag Consulting Group and AgCode, as well as strategic investments in dozens of emerging companies and technologies. Wilbur joined Wilbur-Ellis in 1997 and has held a variety of leadership roles, including serving as Thailand country manager for Connell, the company’s specialty chemicals business in Asia-Pacific. He also held national seed director positions and served as vice president of data services and field technology in the Agribusiness division. Wilbur has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College. He is based at Wilbur-Ellis’ San Francisco headquarters.
