Dr. Jennifer Hutchens is a passionate practitioner-scholar in the field of clinical psychology who divides her time between clinical practice, training and consulting. In her clinical practice, she delivers Motivational Interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other evidence-based treatments to adult and adolescent clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and addictions. Dr. Hutchens is part of a multi-disciplinary team in a medical office focusing on the holistic treatment pain management, in addition to being CEO of Hutchens & Associates, LLC. In her consulting work, she has provided supervision and training to clinicians and other providers as they acquired skills to deliver services in an ethical and effective manner. She regularly provides workshops and seminars and has trained over 300 individuals in the last three years in various topics such as Motivational Interviewing, communication effectiveness, working with substance use disorder and severe mental illness, psychological assessment, and parenting. Dr. Hutchens is active in state and national government and is a member of the APA and IPA. She has taught adjunct at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana for both the Psychology Department and PsyD program.
