The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted schooling across the US and has exacerbated existing inequities in education for historically marginalized student groups like English learners (ELs).
In this discussion our panel of experts will focus on assessment, which over the past year has been taking place remotely, in-person, or not at all. They will identify the challenges presented by the pandemic for the assessment of ELs and will discuss specific recommendations for policymakers and educators to improve the assessment of ELs as we look beyond 2020-21.
